Disney Wonder ~ February 2009
Disney Wonder ~ February 2009
We booked a 3 night Bahamas cruise with Disney for our friends Roger and Kristine Beck in January 2009. Click this link or the photo for our full cruise review on the Disney Wonder.
Disney Wonder Review and Photos. The Disney Wonder is Disney's second cruise ship. The Wonder was launched in 1999 and refurbished in 2006. The Disney Wonder sails 3 and 4 night sailings out of Port Canaveral to Nassau, Castaway Cay and Key West.
We booked a 3-night cruise for Roger and Kristine Beck on the Disney Wonder. They were flexible on the dates and we found a great deal on an inside cabin for them. Roger and Kristine really enjoyed this cruise. They said the price, the food, the service and the full-size king bed in their cabin were all wonderful. Click on photos to enlarge them.
"Everything about this cruise was 5 star. The food, the service, the entertainment, the ship itself. This was a great cruise!" -- Roger Beck
Roger & Kristine took a rental car from the Orlando airport to the Port Canaveral cruise terminal. They picked up their Enterprise Rental car at the Orlando airport and returned the car at the Port Canaveral cruise terminal
Embarkation was a breeze. The Disney Wonder cruise departed on January 22, 2009.
Roger & Kristine booked a guaranteed inside cabin. They were very happy with their category 11 cabin on deck 6 - cabin number 6305.
The king size bed was comfortable and the cabin was spacious.
The cabin attendant did a great job and the cabin was very comfortable.
The first port of call was Nassau in the Bahamas.
Disney's Castaway Cay was the second port of call on this cruise.
Castaway Cay offers lots of relaxing options onshore.

This is Animator's Palate - one of the 3 restaurants where Roger and Kristine dined on the Disney Wonder. The restaurant comes to life as colors and artwork around the venue change. They dined at a different restaurant each evening. One evening was also spent in the Parrot Cay restaurant. A nice Disney touch was that their servers stayed with them as they moved from restaurant to restaurant. Their main server was I Maid and their assistant server was Norbert. Roger told me that Norbert's service was outstanding.
Roger said the numerous live shows in the Walt Disney Theatre on the Wonder were "Wonder-ful"!

The sun set on the last night of Roger and Kristine's Disney Wonder cruise. But they had such a great that they will be back! Thanks Disney Wonder and crew!
